Myth 1: Water purifier can supplement trace elements

The promotion that the water purifier can supplement trace elements is neither scientific nor safe. Although some manufacturers add substances with good dissolubility, such as maifanshi, to their equipment, the supplement of these elements should not only vary from place to place, but also from person to person. Simply adding a certain mineral to the water purifier may be harmful to human health.
Myth 2: Chemical pollution can be filtered
The current chemical pollution can be divided into three categories according to the specific pollution impurities. One is the acid, alkali and some inorganic salt inorganic pollutants that pollute the water source; the other is heavy metal elements such as mercury, cadmium, lead and arsenic, which are potential long-term impact substances; the third is the synthetic organic pollutants such as various organic pesticides, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, aromatic hydrocarbons, etc., which have stable chemical properties, It is difficult to be decomposed by biology. Mistake 3: Water quality is not considered when purchasing water purifier
Sometimes sellers deliberately exaggerate the filtering effect of water purifiers, falsely claiming that different water quality can purify water of the same quality. In fact, the hardness of water in different regions is different. The hardness of water in the north is high. The content of calcium and magnesium ions in the water in the limestone region in the south is high, which is easy to scale. Consumers should choose advanced water filters with ion exchange resin filters or reverse osmosis. For urban tap water containing chlorine, heavy color and odor, and high organic content, consumers can purchase household water purifiers with more activated carbon. For the purification of tap water with turbid water quality in urban and rural areas, consumers should purchase household water purifiers with dual functions of coarse filtration and fine filtration. Mistake 4: Filter element will not be replaced for a long time
The filter element is a regular consumable and needs to be replaced regularly. It is often an exaggeration to claim that the filter element will not be replaced in 3 to 5 years. The service life of the filter element is about 12 months. It is generally replaced every 6 months to 1 year according to the actual water quality. If the filter element is used too long, many impurities and bacteria will be absorbed, resulting in secondary pollution of the water purifier effluent, which is very harmful to human health.
